QUOTES:

AJ Allmendinger charged into the top-five near the end of the Can-Am Duel 2 to finish fourth in his No. 47 Kroger ClickList Chevrolet SS at Daytona International Speedway Thursday night.

"It was an interesting race, but I definitely learned some stuff,” Allmendinger said. “I lost the draft early on. Luckily, we had the competition yellow. I just kind of had to run the top. Running the bottom, I didn’t have any speed down there. I had to stay up top and hope that I picked the right lanes. Luckily, the outside kept moving. You know overall, the Kroger ClickList Chevy is in one piece so that’s the first bonus, scored some points and that’s a good start. We’ll go to work on it. Fortunately, we get to work on our primary car for the first time in a while for the Daytona 500. It was a good night and we'll keep working on it.”

“We had a good night with the No. 47 Kroger ClickList Chevrolet SS,” crew chief Randall Burnett said. “AJ did a really good job those last 10 laps after that caution to fight up in there and stay on the top and keep the top rolling. He ended up getting a fourth out of it. I’m really proud of our Kroger ClickList team and this gives us a little something to build off of going into the Daytona 500. I’m looking forward to that on Sunday.”
