NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR SPEEDWAY RACE RECAP:

Bobby Labonte and the JTG Daugherty Racing team showcased their talent with a top five run before the 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion had to conserve fuel and ultimately pit his No. 47 Kingsford Toyota Camry under green flag conditions at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Without a caution falling their way, the team was forced to settle for a 27th-place finish Sunday afternoon after running as high as third place. Brian Vickers won the Camping World RV Sales 301.

JTG DAUGHERTY RACING QUOTES:

"It felt good to run in the top five," Labonte said. "We were able to keep it in the top 10 until we had to really conserve fuel. The result doesn't show the effort that went into the day."

TAILGATER OF THE WEEK:

Tailgater of the Week honors go to Steve Gagne out of Milton, New Hampshire, who has been watching races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway since 1990.

Gagne attracted JTG Daugherty Racing's attention with his charcoal grill, large size pool and big crowd of family and friends having a good time camped outside the Loudon (N.H.) track.

It was obvious they were big fans of JTG Daugherty Racing's brands and Gagne's favorite meals to grill included ribs, chicken and sausage.

"We make some serious food and I do most of the cooking," said Gagne, who was standing alongside his wife Cherie. "This is my costar Dan
Gendron from Rochester, Vermont and my wife Cherie. This is our home track and we like coming here. We also like Daytona (International Speedway) and we've got family in Florida.

Speaking of family, Gagne is proud of his daughters and everyone who serves our country.

"God Bless America and all the people that represent and protect us and thanks to everyone for serving," Gagne said. "I've got a daughter in the Navy (Kayla) and she just completed law school. We're proud of our daughters. Also, our daughter (Stephanie) is an accountant and she graduated from University of New Hampshire."
