RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY RECAP:

It was another top-15 performance for AJ Allmendinger and the JTG Daugherty Racing team. Allmendinger, who filled in for Bobby Labonte while he recovers from three broken ribs caused by a cycling accident, made an appearance in the top 10 and ended the night crossing the finish line 15th behind the wheel of the No. 47 BUSH'S Beans Toyota at Richmond International Raceway Saturday night.

Carl Edwards won the event by a 0.668 margin of victory over Kurt Busch. There were 17 lead changes among nine drivers and five caution flags for 29 laps.

When the checkered flag fell at RIR, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chase points standings showed Matt Kenseth on top followed by Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Joey Logano, Greg Biffle, Clint Bowyer, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kurt Busch, Kasey Kahne and Martin Truex Jr. respectively.

QUOTES:

"Ultimately, I'm proud of the team because they kept fighting hard and we got a top-15 finish out of the night," Allmendinger said. "We never really hit the setup I thought. We were just tight all night; really tight in the front. It was the tightest we had been all weekend and it caught me off guard a little bit. I felt like early on during the race, we had good speed on the long run. At the end, the rear tires were decent, but we never could make any gains on the front. The short runs were not our friend. A positive during the race is that we stayed on the lead lap all night, which is tough to do around Richmond especially on the long runs.

"The way I look at it is that it is not where we really wanted to be with the car, but we stayed in the top 20 all night and finished in the top-15," Allmendinger continued. "I think we are making gains and that is a big deal. We are making progress. It is going to be a long way and a lot of hard work, but I think we are getting there."

"We are making gains and were able to finish in the top-15 again," crew chief Brian Burns said. "There is a long way to go like AJ said, but we are making some strides. The guys are doing a great job at the shop, at the track and on pit road. We would like to thank BUSH'S Beans for being on board this weekend and all of our sponsors for supporting us throughout the year. We're getting better."

TAILGATER OF THE WEEK:

At Richmond International Raceway, Dennis Shackelford from Greenville, N.C. was awarded with Tailgater of the Week. Shackelford had a giant can of BUSH'S Beans at his tailgate party along with a large grill filled with Kingsford Charcoal. Shackelford was joined by his wife Denise, family and great friends.

"We've been coming here for 20 years," Shackelford said. " Ryan Harold is our cook here and he's from Tarboro, N.C. We like racing and we like to party. My favorite driver is Kyle Busch. We like Denny Hamlin and AJ Allmendinger too.

Shackelford's buddy chimed in about his preference.

"I'm a BUSH'S (Beans) fan, but not a Kyle Busch fan," Brian Whitehurst said.

"Tailgating is what we like about Richmond," Shackelford continued. "I see my buddy, Mike Crisp, twice a year here. He's from Chesterfield, Va. We know each other from meeting here at Richmond."
