POCONO RACEWAY PREVIEW:

Bobby Labonte has three wins (6/20/99, 7/25/99, 7/29/01), five top-fives, nine top-10 finishes and has led 89 laps at Pocono Raceway. His best start is third (three times). The 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion's average start is 18.600 and 19.950 is his average finish.

After 13 events this season, Labonte is 28th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver points standings. He is 133 points out of 10th place held by Paul Menard.

JTG DAUGHERTY RACING QUOTES:

Taking turns: "Pocono is a super-fast track with high-speed corners," Bobby Labonte said. "Turn 1 has some banking to it. You have to negotiate that corner different than the Tunnel Turn. The obvious Turn 3, we've all been there. It's a flatter type of track. Sometimes you may not be set up good there. You try to get through each turn the best you can. It's exciting off the last corner and making it to start-finish line. Turn 3 is a good place to pass."

Three-time Pocono winner looks forward to this weekend: "It's nice that Pocono went to a 400-mile format and also there was the repave last year," Bobby Labonte said. "I feel like the second time around on the pavement it's going to be good racing. I heard the drivers say that testing went well there. We're coming off a good race at Dover International Speedway and look to improve at Pocono Raceway when we get there."

Trying to build some momentum: "Like Bobby (Labonte) said, we had a respectable finish at Dover (International Speedway) and hope to have a better finish at Pocono (Raceway)," crew chief Brian Burns said. "We are trying to gain some momentum. We were at Kentucky Speedway testing for two days this week and we learned a lot more about the Gen-6 car and things we can take to Pocono to build some momentum."

TAILGATER OF THE WEEK:

Last weekend at Dover International Speedway, Jim Burnett along with his wife Donna won Tailgater of the Week leading up to the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks. They were tailgating with their family Alison and Emily Burnett along with Matt Schlosser and their furry friends Charlotte, Sophie Grace, Callie and Jackson. They have a total of four rescue dogs and notes that Greg Biffle and Ryan Newman are two of their favorite drivers because of their work with animals.

"Now, we have a new best driver and that's Bobby Labonte," Jim Burnett said. "This is great to win Tailgater of the Week. Thank you."

The Burnetts stated that Dover is one of their favorite tracks on the circuit.

"We love Dover because you can see the whole track," Donna Burnett said. "It's close to home too."

"You get three races and it's a great value," Jim Burnett added.

Congratulations to Jim and Donna Burnett for receiving this weeks honors.
